Polar Express Night

Join us for a festive evening at our Polar Express night, hosted by the Shadow Forest PTA. Enjoy crafts, holiday games, a hot chocolate bar, and a special visit from Santa himself. We  look forward to celebrating the season with you! 

• **This is a family event. Parents please stay and accompany your children.**
• $7.50 per student ages 4+.
• To accommodate all our guests, attendance is limited to 2 adults per family. Siblings under 4 are welcome! All attendees require registration.
• Ticket sales begin November 14 at 7PM and will close November 28th at 11PM or when max capacity has been reached (whichever comes first).
• Both sessions have a maximum ticket sale of 175.
• Tickets will be sent home with students on December 8th.
• If you do not see a link to purchase tickets it is either outside of the ticket window or the tickets have sold out.  

• Come dressed in Holiday Jammies or an Ugly Christmas Sweater (no slippers!).
• Enjoy some festive crafts, cookie decorating, and a visit from Mr. & Mrs. Clause!
• To ensure families have enough space to enjoy the festivities, we will divide the evening into two shifts: 5:15–6:15 PM and 6:30–7:30 PM. Once ticket sales begin, you can select which shift you’d like to attend. If a shift reaches its maximum capacity, you’ll only be able to purchase tickets for the remaining time slot. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

• We will NOT be selling/ having pizza onsite.
• Children will receive a Cookie and milk/apple juice inside.
• One of our activities this year is for the kids to make their own Hot Chocolate Reindeer to enjoy at home. 
• December 11th is SFE Spirit Night at Papa Johns! Enjoy pizza with your family while supporting the school. Enter the Promo code TXFUND when you order online @ PapaJohns.com and 20% of your purchase will come back to Shadow Forest Elementary!
• During the Polar Express Night, No Tail End Coffee Co will be available outside the front doors for purchases. See below for their Menu (*subject to change). Check out No Tail Coffee Co on Instagram and Facebook so you can be sure to follow their schedule of where they'll be next!
  • Even if you aren't able to attend the Polar Express evening you are welcome to participate in the Spirit Night at Papa Johns or purchase items from No Tail End Coffee Co. 

• This year we have the opportunity to support Isaiah 117 -- an organization that provides a comforting home where children who are waiting foster care placement.

• The mission of Isaiah 117 House is reduce trauma for children awaiting placement, lighten the load for child welfare services, and ease the transition for foster families.

• One of the stations at the Polar Express Night will be drawing Holiday / Birthday cards that will be given to the children. 
  • Please note: as you are helping your children make a card please stay away from phrases like "I hope Santa brings you everything you want" or "I hope it's the best birthday ever". Instead, keep it simple with phrases like "Merry Christmas", "Happy Holidays", or "Happy Birthday". Children are welcome to draw a picture on the card. 

• Enjoy a fun photo booth experience with your family. The photo booth is graciously donated by Dr. Healy with Kingwood Orthodontics. Learn more about Kingwood Orthodontics on their website kingwoodorthodontics.com. "Every smile should look this good!"

• **OPTIONAL Activity In preparation for Polar Express Night** Help us deck the halls! Decorate a snowflake, cut it out, and return to your teacher by Wednesday December 3rd. Feel free to make copies on card stock and decorate more than one. (Snowflakes will not be returned.)
  • Students can cut out their own snowflake or color/cut this snowflake. 
  • All students and staff are welcome to participate -- even if they aren't able to attend the Polar Express Evening.
